DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
The main food on the day will be a gourmet BBQ, so there will be lots of delicious food to choose from. If you have any specific dietry requirements please let us know on your RSVP. We will ensure gluten free, dairy free & vegan are catered for already but let us know if there is anything else we need to know about.
TRANSPORTATION
We know it's a long journey for most of you so we want to make sure you're as comfortable and safe as possible travelling. If you have any concerns or need advice, please feel free to reach out to us as there may be others in the same boat as you (not literally!). If you are getting the train to Barnstaple or Taunton, let us know as we might be able to get transport for a group of you all together to Ilfracombe.
CHANGING ROOMS
If you're travelling on the day, phone your accomodation to see if you can check in early (if it's later than 1:30pm) and they should let you in to get comfortable before the wedding starts. There will be a changing room at the venue for those who want to have a dip in the sea on the day, so bring your change of clothes & flip flops if you'd like! There are separate toilets for more privacy. This is all private from the public areas.
END OF THE NIGHT
The outside areas close at 12am and the whole venue closes at 2am, so we'll be partying 'til the early hours! We want to ensure you get back to your hotels safely so please make sure you have a planned route home or have booked a taxi with your hotel prior to the day. The wedding venue is quite central in Ilfracombe so everywhere is in walking distance (just bring a change of shoes if you think you'll need some!).
PARKING
Most hotels have parking but if yours doesn't, there are a few car parks in the centre of Ilfracombe. Check here for car park details.
The closest car park to the venue is here, all day parking is £4.40.
Definitely consider booking a hotel with car parking as it can get very busy in coastal towns in the summer. Check with your accomodation if you're not sure where to park.
ACCESSIBILITY
The venue has wheelchair access and a lift in the building. As the venue is accessed through a tunnel, the pathway is cobbled & can be slippery so please bear this in mind if you need assistance. Let us know if you have any specific queries and we'll be happy to check with the venue for you.
RESTAURANTS
There are lots of restaurants in Ilfracombe for the night before/day after. There is a variety of restaurant types with different atmospheres, from michelin star restaurants to fish & chip shops (and a Wetherspoons!). The Sandy Cove hotel is a nice place to go for a lunch/dinner overlooking the sea. Have a look here at the local restaurants. Be sure to book early as these also get booked up quite far in advance!
DRESS CODE
We want you to feel comfortable on the day so feel free to wear whatever you'd like. We'd prefer smart/usual wedding attire as who doesn't like to dress up and feel their best?! Heels will be fine but you may want to bring a spare pair of shoes in case you want to go on the beach or walk around the tunnels. We have a private beach (yay!) and hopefully the weather will be nice so you'll want to be comfortable. There will be a changing room to keep things in but belongings won't be locked away. Only our wedding party will have access to the room so there won't be anything to worry about! There is air con in the building in case of really hot weather.
WEDDING GIFTS
Your presence is enough for us, we really do appreciate you making the effort to come to Devon! We hope you can make the most of it any enjoy a holiday in this beautiful part of the UK. If you really would like to gift us something, we would be ever so grateful for a donation towards our dream honeymoon, but there is no pressure at all to do so. We can't wait to treat you on the day for coming all the way to Ilfracombe!

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate plus ones due to the capacity of the venue being limited. Please let us know if you wish to bring someone and we will do our best to let you know if any spaces come up nearer to the time of the wedding.
